Super Wings Review

When it comes to television we don’t watch it. We do however like to watch Vlogs and keep up with what’s going on in the land of .t.v.  as it’s always nice to have a few options to entertain the little one, lol. Since we don’t watch much television we were a bit unaware of Super Wings, a cartoon for kids. That is; Mommy and Daddy were unaware! The little one knew exactly what they were when we opened the box. He was some excited to be able to help with the Super Wings review that you’re currently reading and we were excited for the help because we all know that kids know way more than adults when it comes to .t.v. shows. We really like the fact that this show teaches kids about different ethnic backgrounds and cultural practices. Something that we were also unaware of until we had the opportunity to watch the advertisement. Check out the commercial below.

There are 12 different characters to collect, from planes to trucks to even a luggage cart that transform from their vehicle shape to robots. These are definitely cooler looking than the toys like this when we were younger! The quality is great and we didn’t have to worry about the toys breaking when they were being transformed.

We really like the fact that there are different vehicles as well as the fact that they have female characters for the little girls that like planes too! We absolutely love these toys, their show and the storyline behind it. We definitely think that your little ones will love them as well. We also suggest checking out their show on Treehouse that comes on every day.

Reusing Plastic Grocery Bags (FrugalChat #1)

“”””Reusing Grocery Bags”””” from the stores.

I know that the better thing to do, is to bring your own reusable bag from home to the grocery store but the truth is, we all have these little plastic grocery bags end up in our homes. Well that is okay because I have put together a list of ideas you can use these bags for and by doing this it will keep them out of our landfills.

Great uses for reusing plastic grocery bags

1. Use as stuffing in the bottom of a gift bag
2. Recycling your recyclables
3. To donate stuff in
4. To bring returns back to the store
5. Use them for your wet clothes when you go swimming
6. Carry lunches to work or school or even on picnics
7. Put stinky diapers in them before putting it in the trash can
8. They make great garbages for the car or when you are travelling
9. Doggy poo bags
10. Putting streaks in your own hair
11. Changing the litter box or even lining the litter box with the bag
12. Use as a form of bubble wrap to store fragile items
13. Fill your patio cushions or pet beds with them
14. Sick bags, the clean up is easy
15. Line our paint tray with them for less mess
16. Use them as a disposable glove
17. Store your old rags in them under the sink
18. Boot liners in the winter to keep your feet dry
19. Cover your paint brushes with them so they don’t get hard
20. wrap around car mirrors in the winter so they don’t get full of ice
21. Wrap around your knees to save your pants in the garden
22. Use as a smock for smaller kids

And so much more. The possibilities are endless!!!

What do YOU use your extra bags for if you are a bag recycler?

I hope you enjoyed this list and please feel free to add your own ideas in the comments below and I would be more than happy to add them to the list 🙂

Disclosure: I had the help of some awesome people to conduct these lists. I have a group where we discuss frugal topics and from that I am able to make these wonderful and informative blog posts. So thank you to everyone in our group

Twozies; Better Two-gether

What’s cuter than babies and baby animals? Babies dressed as baby animals with adorable baby animal pets and Twozies are better two-gether. Get it, lol! Twozies are absolutely cute toy baby collectibles that are dressed as a specific pet. From seahorses to red pandas to everyday pets such as cats and dogs, these are definitely products that will make your heart fill with happiness as well as your child’s heart. They’ll truly enjoy how sweet and adorable Twozies are and with over 140 characters to collect the excitement will last. For a while anyways!

There’s a catch to these cuties though. The point is to find the matching pet to it’s owner or Twozie. This makes collecting them even more entertaining as you never know what pet or baby you’ll get. Will you find your match? There are plenty of products to choose from such as shops, strollers and more which we think are so cute!

Twozies;-Better-Two-getherKids will definitely enjoy trying to find/collect the matching babies and pet Twozies as well as playing with them of course. These are totally worth collecting. Even if it’s just to display the adorable toys in their shadowboxes. We think that these cuties will be a huge hit with kids.

Grossery Gang Mushy Slushie and Icky Pops Review

Have you ever heard of the Grossery Gang? These disgustingly adorable collectibles come in 150 characters of all sorts of gross designs like rotten milk, fuzzy pancakes and more. The little one has obviously seen commercials for these guys because he was super excited when he saw them in the box. We received the Grossery Gang Mushy Slushie from their First Delivery set and the Icky Pops from their Series 2 set. We really enjoyed learning about the rarity of these guys and enjoyed the differences between the characters. Some were soft and squishy, some were hard and others had a sticky feel to them. There were crates that came with them which at first we were a little unsure of hat to do with them other than display our Grossery Gang characters until we watched the video on their website which you can find below. It was cool to see that there was actually a game, so to speak, that we were able to play.

Since we didn’t know much regarding this toy we honestly thought that the Icky Pops were actual ice pops, lol. Upon opening the box we realized that they in fact were not real ice pops and were instead Grossery Gang collectibles. Phew! I think the little one would have been doing the taste testing if that were the case, sorry to say! We have to say that despite looking and sounding gross, these guys are pretty adorable and have made a nice addition to the little ones shelves.

The Mushy Slushie is a container that looks like a slush cup and is a great place to store your Grossery Gang characters that aren’t on display and it even has a fake straw that attaches to the lid. Inside we found a few new members of the gang as well some that were encased in fake ice cubes such as a spider, a fly and more insects. This was great as it added to the “slushie” theme. We truly and honestly enjoy playing with these guys and make it a habit to pick up a character here and there in hopes of collecting all 150.
