Homemade Donair Sauce #HJrecipes

We recently made steak and cheese stuffed peppers and ended up with extra meat. We decided to fry it a bit longer to make it crunchier. And of course we needed donair sauce!

We used a very simple recipe that pretty much everyone we know uses too. We hope you’ll give it a try.

What you’ll need:

2/3 cup of evaporated milk
2/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper (optional)

Mix all ingredients except for the vinegar. After everything is mixed add the vinegar and beat quickly. You’ll notice it getting slightly thicker. Refrigerate for a few hours to let it set. Serve with donair meat or any other type of thinly fried meat.
