We love stuffing and since we no longer eat the boxed stuff we’ve started making our own stuffing from scratch. Check out our recipe below.
What you will need:
- 6-7 large potatoes
- 4-6 slices of Udis Gluten-free bread crusts (ends)
- 1 medium-sized onion
- 1/4 green pepper
- 1/4 red pepper
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- Pinch of summer savoury
- 1/2 tsp Herbamare salt alternative
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- Dash of pepper
Peel, was and pare the potatoes. Partially cook them approximately 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Cut the bread into 4 lengthwise strips. Cut the strips into bite sized pieces approximately the size of a crouton. Place in a bowl and add the spices, peppers and onions. Stir well to coat all pieces with seasoning.
Cut potatoes into chunks roughly the size of the bread pieces. Add to bread and spice mixture. Stirring to coat. Cover with tin foil and bake for 30 minutes or until the bread has become moist.
Serve with any dish you would like to have stuffing with and voila.
