MS Sucks!

Multiple Sclerosis is an inflammatory disease in which nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. This damage causes a communication disruption in the nervous system. There is no known cure for MS which is why fundraising is so vital!

This isn’t normally something we do but someone who we consider a good friend and someone you may know as well has someone very close to them who suffers from MS. This person is amazing and does so much good for this world through charities and their business, despite the stress they’re under. Helping their loved one by making a donation to the MS Society would mean a lot to them and is the least we could do to repay their kindness! Below you will find the story behind this amazing person as well as the story of the caring employee who wants to surprise his boss with a large donation to the MS Society 🙂

Raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society

“Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by my page.

So first things first; I am raising money for a very good friend of mine, who is absolutely amazing and has the courage of a lion, he really is an incredible guy. Secondly, I don’t want him knowing until I have reached the race and hit my target, and therefore this page will remain anonymous. I’m assuming that if you’re here, you know who I am and why I’m doing this.

Where do I start! I have known him for about 18 months; which isn’t much time if you think about it, but it’s enough to realize someone is genuinely the nicest person you’ve ever met. It was a shock to those around him when they found out he had MS; and it’s something that certain members of the family are still struggling to come to terms with.

He and I, have been through so much in a short space of time that it’s crazy to think it’s only been 18 months. The guy really has gone out of his way to help me; even with the added pressure of what he’s going through. I really can’t do enough to thank him, and therefore I will do the only thing that I know how to do somewhat well – run!The money you give will not go to him personally, however it will go to those similar to him, and his family, that are going through the same struggle. One thing I have learned over the last year is that even when life throws a curve-ball, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the game!

To my friend; thank you for all the support you’ve given me! You have shown tremendous courage, and although some days are tougher than others; you’ve shown you’re more resilient than most.”
If you would like to make a donation to the MS Society you can do so here.

Thanks Frugal Canadian Coupon Mom for checking out all the merchandise you give us updates on. I did read today the cry for help from Mike about his Boss who sponsored him to be able to come and live here. It gave me an idea I would like to run by your and see what you think about it. Can we maybe skype at a for you convenient time, or even call is fine with me? Let me know if you are interested to listen to me and when we can connect. Happy Mothers Day, Tilly

    • Not to sound rude in any-way Tilly but I am really not interested, I am in over my head as it is with running the site/facebook/twitter pages by myself, I simply cant take on anything else…
Thanks for thinking of me though!!
