Introducing Maple Leaf Foods PROTINIS!

We live in a fast paced world where it’s go-go-go and we often eat things that are quick but not exactly healthy because of it. As parents we want to instil healthy eating habits in our children and companies realize that people are looking for healthier products and snacks that are still quick but also fit into our busy lifestyles and Maple Leaf Foods is one of them  🙂

Maple Leaf recently launched a line of delicious healthy snacks called PROTINIS that contain complete proteins, A.K.A. chicken. Or a combination of chicken and dried fruit.

  •  “Complete protein contains all the essential amino acids your body needs and cannot produce on its own.”
  • “Some examples of foods with complete protein are: milk, eggs, fish, meat and poultry, like the oven-roasted chicken bites in PROTINIS™.”

Mild Salsa

These great on-the-go snacks make tasty additions to salads, wraps and rice! Or they can be eaten just the way they are. We love that we’re able to grab them and go on adventures in the woods as we like to stop for a picnic like snack sometimes. They’re also the perfect snack to bring in the car for those long drives when you don’t want to stop for or eat “junk food snacks”. We also think they’ll make a great dish for school lunches.

  • “PROTINIS™ snacks are available in 8 different flavours including Oven Roasted Chicken, Sweet Thai Chili Chicken, Mild Salsa Chicken, Honey Garlic Chicken, Oven Roasted Chicken and Cranberry, Oven Roasted Chicken and Superfruit, Oven Roasted Chicken and Mango, and Oven Roasted Chicken and Apple. They’re available at major grocery stores across Canada and retail for about $4.99. Each retail pack comes with two PROTINIS™ snacks.”

Lean white meat, 1 gram of fat and ranging from only 80 – 110 calories make this product a perfect snacking option any time, anywhere and the lovely folks at Maple Leaf Foods have teamed up with us to give you the opportunity to try them for yourself  🙂  So be sure to get your coupon below!

  32. I was looking forward to trying the new Protinis Snacks after seeing the ad on TV and so when my grocery store finally got them in I picked up several. I was extremely disappointed. The chicken looked and tasted like rubber and was not what I would think was oven roasted. There were not brown or grilled marks on the pieces and the pieces were small and crumbled not like the slices shown. I thought perhaps it was an older package so checked the date and it said July 02 so tried another package and the same thing. The chicken looks like pressed chicken and tastes like nothing.
Really disappointed in this product and I usually like all the Maple Leaf products.
