Our Son’s 4th Birthday Party #BirthdayParty

We recently celebrated the Milestone of our little guy turning 4 and becoming an even bigger boy than before πŸ™‚ Celebration is a great reason to make food which is totally cheaper than ordering in or going out and it’s fun! We served ham sandwiches, all natural hot dogs, chips, veggies and fruit. Total party food, lol!

Instead of games we decided to do crafts as the little one likes being creative πŸ™‚ Name necklaces with letter beads was the first craft we made. This was Nanny’s idea not Mommy and Daddy’s but the kid’s really enjoyed making them none the less.

The second craft we made was a 3 in 1 that included an Easter basket, egg picture frame and an adorable bunny which the little one says looks best upside down. So he’s upside down on the fridge, lol!

We’re always looking for inexpensive entertainment for kids that we can also do at birthday parties. Pinterest is a go-to for some of our ideas and others are actually our brains working, lol! Do you have any awesome “cheap” ideas for entertaining kids? Indoor activities, outdoor activities and any age, we’d love to hear them πŸ™‚

  1. That’s a cute idea! I love the idea of doing crafts instead of crafts for younger kids. I had a small family party for my two year old and we baked a cake together πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Ashleigh πŸ™‚ That sounds like a great way to celebrate a birthday! It’s the memories of quality time together that remains with them after the day is done. Best gift you can give a child πŸ™‚ ~J~

  2. really liked the idea of doing the crafts, one year for my daughter’s birthday I made ind. pizza crusts for seven little girls and had a whole table full of different toppings and each of the girls were so happy to make up their own pizza’s, they had lots of fun making their own personal pizza’a

  5. Craft birthday parties were always a hit when my older kids were younger & I’m looking forward to planning more when my 2 babies start celebrating their birthdays with friends!

One easy activity we love to do is putting tempra paint into a large freezer Ziploc bag & taping it down to the table. It’s fun to “finger paint” & smoosh the paint around to mix it into new colours – BONUS, no mess! Have fun!
