The world today isn’t a very friendly place and it only seems to be getting worse 😦 What happened to the days of knocking on the new neighbours door and welcoming them to the neighbourhood? We try our best to share our love with the world through our blog as well as in our community by giving back. We hope and feel as though we are helping to make someone’s day, whether it be with a donation to a shelter, a simple comment that made someone smile or a post that someone can relate to and gives them hope.
I’d like to introduce you to a company named Kind Snacks, who believes in spreading kindness. From small acts like helping the environment to large acts like a fundraising campaign for the less fortunate. Kind encourages people to spread their kindness and started the #KindMovement so people can share their stories of kind acts and be recognized for them. They also make some very tasty snacks like “Whole Grain Clusters” that can be added to yogurt, eaten as a dry snack or even as cereal. These gluten-free clusters come in 4 delicious flavours, Vanilla Blueberry, Oats & Honey, Cinnamon & Oats with Flax Seed and Peanut Butter. As I have stated in previous reviews, gluten-free* or not, whole grains and oats cause me abdominal pain. I also have an extremely low tolerance to these products due to the Celiac, so I suggest eating these at your own discretion as you know best how oats and grains affect you!
The other scrumptious products Kind makes are gluten-free* snack bars. It’s no secret I love nuts! Cashews, almonds and many more that make a very healthy and tasty snack. These delicious bars are made of exactly that, nuts! They use honey and fruit as a binding agent and use nuts instead of oats. There are 22 different flavoured bars to choose from. We were sent Madagascar Vanilla Almond, Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt, Almond & Coconut and Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein. I’m sure you can guess which my favourite is? The Almond & Coconut? How’d you know 😉 I absolutely love coconut and this bar was chewy, not too sweet and my favourite. I’ve also stated before how much I’m not a fan of dark chocolate, but the combination of the Sea Salt with it totally changed my mind. I actually like dark chocolate with sea salt now 🙂
(The wife made the below snack 🙂 she just used left-over chocolate from christmas and mixed it with the clusters!!! She LOVES them)
I’m very impressed with this company and their products and recommend giving them a try, you won’t regret it! These delicious products can be found in major retailers as well as on-line and sell for $2 a bar or $7 for a bag of clusters.
*These products are gluten-free according to the Canadian and US standards of 20 ppm (0.002%) and are produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility*
