Pur Gum Review

It seems that everywhere I look today I see articles about the dangers of certain foods, aspartame being one of them! Having Diabetes since the age of 4, I’ve ingested a lot of this so called toxic ingredient in my lifetime and quite frankly wonder if my joint pain isn’t a result of the substances I’ve unknowingly been poisoning my body with? It’s a difficult task finding products these days that are free of aspartame and other artificial sweeteners, thankfully companies are making products that are better for your health as well as sweetened with naturally occurring sugars. One of these companies is known as Pur Gum!

Being completely honest, my first thought when I heard of gluten free gum was “is that even possible”, after all gum is derived from wheat! Surprisingly it is possible and Pur Gum has created it, yay 🙂 I was absolutely blown away by the fact that it was no different than regular chewing gum, minus the pain that the regular gum would cause!
This amazing gum is sweetened with Xylitol, a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that is found in many fruits and vegetables and has multiple health benefits such as stabilizing insulin and hormone levels, reversing damage done to teeth by processed sugar by up to 80%! Xylitol has been approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Health Canada, The World Health Organization’s Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The European Union’s Scientific Committee for Food, The California Dental Association and the Calorie Control Council. Pur Gum is produced in Switzerland, where GMO’s are illegal, and sold all over the world, so you know you’re ingesting healthy ingredients 🙂

I’m very impressed with the flavors and texture of this gum and extremely happy that there’s no after taste from the sweetener as there is with artificial sugars! This is a product I will definitely be on the lookout for and recommend to everyone, I mean hello it fixes your teeth 🙂

If you would like to try this gum for yourself, I urge you to try it. You can purchase it from Amazon

Bella Pulse Review

I’ve never really had much of a problem with  the condition of my skin, even as a teenager. I do however wash my face, occasionally wear makeup and in the winter, apply moisturizer. I’ve tried many different facial brushes and cleansing systems and haven’t kept up using them as they weren’t doing what they should or left my skin feeling the same way it did before I washed it, not clean! I was thankfully given the opportunity to review a facial cleansing system that I’m excited to use every day and goes by the name of BellaPulse.

The BellaPulse system comes with 4 Unique Brushes for Exfoliation, Cleansing, Massaging and Product Application. The Pulsar Powered Wand, Storage Cradle, a Full User Guide and a Battery Pack for Wireless Operation. The system I received also came with a 3 Piece Exfoliating Cleanser Set ($99.95 ARV) the Rose Hip Seed and AHA Exfoliating Cleansers and a Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer.

We all have days that are crammed with unexpected stressful situations sometimes, your running late, the kids are overly rambunctious or whatever your stress may be. No worries, the massaging pulse of this amazing tool is great for helping relax your skin after a long day! I especially love how clean my skin feels and how vibrant it looks after using the exfoliating cleanser and applying the moisturizing cream. Best part of it all is how easy it is. All the pieces just snap on and off!!! I even take mine in the shower when I am running late, to wash my face in there!
This is most definitely a system that I recommend to anyone who wants more vibrant, younger looking skin and to all the guys out there, I guarantee your lady will love this product 🙂 It makes the perfect gift.

HomeoCan Products – Review‏

Homeopathic remedies for the whole family!

It’s that time of year when the wind gets nippy, it seems like we’re living in a snow globe and of course common colds and the flu go around! With the health conditions I have it’s hard to find cough syrups that are gluten-free, sugar-free, acetaminophen free & most of all safe for our 3.5 year old. For the last few years, we have gone through, wasted really, many bottles of natural cough syrups that we had to fight with the little one to take! Thankfully we found one that he likes. Yay no more fighting to get better 🙂

These kid and parent approved homeopathic remedies were created by the first woman to ever open a pharmacy in Quebec and has being going strong for 20 years now! This wonderful company goes by the name of HOMEOCAN and is available across the country in most drugstores and retail chains, as well as online 🙂

The cough syrups our son likes and that truly work are known as Kids 0-9, as in 0 to 9 years old, and have a cute little bear on the packaging. This syrup is available in daytime and nighttime formulas which is perfect as the coughing is always worse at night! They’re also dye-free and sugar-free 🙂

Another great product for this time of year is the Flu Buster. This amazing product tastes like raspberries and helps relieve symptoms caused by the flu such as chills, aches, lack of energy and more.

Not only does Homeocan make remedies for children, they also make them for adults, and the best part is that their Cough and Cold and Throat Ease syrups gluten and sugar free. From allergies to earaches & colic, Homeocan has you covered 🙂 I was truly surprised by the huge array of products available from them, and think you will be too!

These homeopathic, gluten-free products taste great and will surely be something your kids won’t mind having to take. And they cost the same amount as other syrups, possibly even cheaper depending on the store. I’m very happy to have found out that I’m able to take something when I’m sick this winter and suggest those of you with small kids invest in these wonderful products to help your little ones get rid of those nasty coughs and colds too!

Elf On A Shelf

Elf On A Shelf

As a kid, getting together with Family for a potluck Supper and a game or two of Rummoli was just Holiday fun. Thinking back, I’ve realized this was a tradition  just as giving thanks on Thanksgiving is! Christmas is a time for sharing old and creating new traditions that also help inspire good in our children, and Santa becomes a big help despite the cost he incurs,  lol

😉 Knowing that the big guy in red is magically watching them from the North Pole, brings out the good in kids and helps spark their imagination. What better way to keep that spark burning all December than one of Santa’s helpers who takes notes and reports back to Santa, .A.K.A. The Elf On A Shelf!

Now some of you may think this is a tradition worth steering clear of but for us it’s another way of inspiring the joy and imagination that makes Christmas & Santa what they are, as well as helping our little one to behave until Christmas. And having an elf who reports back to Santa on my sons behavior as a means to keep him from getting into trouble works just fine for me, lol!

Personally we find the original elf a bit creepy looking for our liking and wanted to do a playful Elf On The On The Shelf and found the cutest little guy at the Dollar Store, who totally fit the guidelines 🙂 He arrived with balloons to decorate the kitchen as well as a note with strict rules and a little surprise (Play Dough) for the little one.

Elfie, not very creative but something a 3.5 year old can pronounce, has pulled little tricks around the house since arriving. Some of his shenanigans included making snow angels with sugar, shredding some wrapping paper and shaving my head while I slept, leaving a note to say I needed a haircut 😉 This is the first year that we’re doing this and we’ve seen an improvement in our sons behavior, he cleans up after being asked only once which to me is a great start, lol. Either way I think it’s a great tradition to add even more excitement to Christmas for the kids and even for Mommy and Daddy who have the creative duties of fun things for the elf to do 🙂

Do you have any Christmas traditions, if so what are they?

Don’t forget to share this post with your friends and family, they might jump right in!!!!

Gluten-Free Coconut Cookies #food

This recipe has been doctored to meet my needs and the ingredients I have available to use. I hope you’ll find these as scrumptious as we/I do 🙂

1 1/2 cups of Elpeto Gluten Free Flour Mix (3/4 =1 cup)
1 cup of shredded sweetened coconut
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp baking soda
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup coconut oil
Vanilla (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl mix the coconut, flour, salt & baking soda, set aside. In a separate bowl cream together the coconut oil, sugar & eggs, I used a handheld mixer as the oil was a bit harder to cream without lumps. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix. Roll dough into quarter sized balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are light brown.
Makes 38 cookies.
