When I hear gluten free I automatically think of food but it never occurred to me that the products I use on a daily basis can or do contain gluten! As I become more aware of my disease, Celiac, I am also becoming more aware of the fact that I need to stay away from gluten as much as possible in order to live a healthy life. This is why I’m extremely happy to have been given the opportunity to become a product tester for Effeclean Canada, an eco-friendly products manufacturer that specializes in extreme eco cleaning products that are biodegradable as well as Gluten Free.
I was given the opportunity to try 2 products this month, the first being the Eco-Baby Bathroom Cleaner. This product is free of phosphates, chlorine, ammonia, alcohol and VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compound) meaning that this product does not release or contain any toxic substances! It’s also non-flammable, non-corrosive and non-caustic, meaning that it is not capable of burning or destroying your skin, and yes I did have to look the meaning of that word up as well as VOC’s (I may know big words but I’m no dictionary. Lol 😉
I love the fact that Effeclean bathroom cleaner is something I’m able to use on all the surfaces of my bathroom. With a little man just learning to aim, I use it to clean the exterior of the toilet as well as for the toothpaste stains left in the sink. Best of all was the bathtub: after leaving the cleaner sit for a few minutes on the crayon (made for the tub but similar to a real crayon), it easily came off with little scrubbing. It’s a time saver for the family. There is a mild scent to the cleaner that dissipates very quickly.
The second product I was given to review is Genuine Eco-products Tablet & Laptop Screen Cleaner. This product is a handy little tool for people with kids who like to leave their fingerprints on all of your screens. Not only is it great for tablets and laptops, it’s also great for plasma, LCD TV’s as well as computer screens. I also tried it on my glasses and it worked great as well. The best part about this product is that it only has 4 ingredients which I can actually pronounce: water, coconut extract, corn extract and a mild water softener, which to me is perfect as our little one like’s to touch everything and we do worry about the chemical residue left behind on things he’s able to touch! I have only found 1 other company that made products completely from nature but unfortunately they weren’t in Canada. Thankfully, Effeclean Canada is a Canadian company based in Toronto. I highly recommend this company as well as these products to anyone who is or wants to be environmentally conscious. Especially to all my Gluten Free readers!
